Things to know for participating in this compilation project:
Only exclusive / previously unreleased tracks are to be part of the comp.
Deadline is autumn '09.
Track length can be anything around 5 to 10 minutes.
The technical as well as artistic quality should meet standards already achieved by vol 1, (go to myspace.com/darkambientradio to listen to excerpts of the first comp).
Number of discs to be produced is 500.
The majority of participants decided that the format is CD-Audio (rather than DVD, which was the first idea due to the number of participating projects). There will be some kind of competition, possibly a voting where the tracks are presented anonymously to all participants.
If you have raw tracks and sound samples but you feel something is missing, you can upload it to the 'Collaboration Incubator' section of our fileden area so that others can add their ideas (ask for user/password via forum pm to me).
Remember, this will be a self-release by the artists participating in the compilation. The admin of this website will just act as contact person of the comp project and do some administrative work, but it's the artists who make decisions in a collective way. You should visit the restricted forum area for vol. 2 every now or then to influence decision-making. (If you can't get there it means I forgot to assign you the proper permissions, so leave me a pm.)
Contributions for pre-financing the production is highly welcome but not mandatory. They will be paid back from the earnings that will be achieved. In case there will be a surplus, it will be distributed among all projects represented on the comp equally.
