This album is a tribute to the film Metropolis (1927), directed by Fritz Lang. Seen from the perspective of the 21st century, its astonishing urban panoramas, similar to those from Blade Runner, seem like images from a parallel universe, signals from an alien civilization. The movie portrays the forces of creation, conservation and destruction that manifest in the societies of all times. The symbol of the Tower of Babel, present in Metropolis, reminds of the disasters that threaten each civilization, but also of a certain ability for regeneration, the New Beginning that follows after all catastrophes of history.
