Nors'Klh - "La Montagne Vivante"

Welcome to the Circle of Three Dead ...
Visions of gigantic tentacles devouring stars, huge living mountains, desert plains whence arise columns infinitely large and dark, deformed beings wandering in the cosmos and attracting some universe at them, for their destruction ... take place in my head, again and again ..
Over the years I had the need to express them through all forms of art available to me. The music has been most revealing. For 10 years, I try to transcribe it by the sound, this magnificent horrors. With the first verse, "La Montagne Vivante" ( "the Living Mountain" ), i began a long journey wich will last three albums and will drown the listener in my visions, my nightmares, my fantasies and my dreams ...

"La Montagne Vivante" is a contemporary piece of dark ambient music at its finest. It consists of eight compositions built by an immense variety of sounds, ranging from hypnotic drones, through heavily distorted synthetic whispers and slow somehow epic rhythm structures. All songs have their unique sound and leave different impressions but in the same time they are inseparable parts of a huge soundscape. A soundscape which reveals a completely new interpretation of the collaboration between organic and inorganic matter. Sometimes you are just observing the constantly changing and evolving new realm, sometimes you?re helplessly thrown in unknown depths, exploring, floating, sinking and reaching new surfaces. The sound develops in a slow, oppressing and heavy manner. Travelling through the songs reminds of a harsh journey through the insides of a massive stone structure. For over an hour your senses are experiencing a weird combination of determination and hypnosis to survive the realms of Nors'Klh?s mountain of black sound. |
