That would be a very late joining. On the other hand, some participants (including me) still haven't delivered...

btw, the big big problem at darkambientradio seems to be: there's no girl participating! otherwise everybody won't be that lazy,, but strife to impress the empress )

No need to haste...  We don't even have some cover art. Thinking about it... in my experience Summer isn't a good time to release from a marketing perspective. It's really true with Vol.1-3: Most CD sales were in Fall and Winter. Folks need more comfort then, it seems. So maybe it would be ok to stay on glacial time scale: 3-4 months till end of Summer and one months for mastering, cover art and liner notes = release on 1st of October (or the first Bandcamp Friday in October). What do you think? If it's ok, I can then send a little mailing to all participants till 30th of April to make sure everyone is aware of the deadline.

OK. may would be maybe a good date for release before summer, but as you say: fix it for september/october.
I'll send you some draft's for cover (using the DA-radio releases as overall design, but with different image... so everybody here can decide on (and/or could show another draft: till september it will plenty of time)

I have created folders for cover art proposals and liner notes on Nextcloud. Fabio already contributed three images. Please add your copyright (or copyleft) to the file name. If you got it from the web, e.g. deviantart.com, make sure that it has a free license, e.g. CC-BYNC and add a textfile with the URL you got it from. I have also added a subfolder with Vol. 1-3 booklets to give you an idea how to write the liner notest for your own track. |

It's October, release time!!
I myself didn't manage to create a worthy contribution because I was too busy, but of course will continue to support the project 100%. Anyway we have nine nice tracks for a viable release.
Cover art: I think 02.jpg is nice and also fabio1.jpg. All of you have a look at the nextcloud CoverArt and tell us what are your favorites.
There are still no liner notes. Does this mean that we won't have em?
Mastering: Anyone with good ears here who is able to do some equalization between the tracks, if necessary? What about track order?
I'd suggest we use the next Bandcamp Friday as release date, after mastering is finished. |
