I usually work alone so a collab could be an interesting thing to do. Count me in.
A collective 70 minutes track ... its challenging and groundbreaking for dark ambient. I like it.

I suggest this list of priorities:

_ make individual tracks
_ arrange the collabs, make the music
_ if everything its fine and we are good with the work already done, lets try to make the big one track.

We can provide musical sections and suggestions, but it seems to me that the final assembly of this big one should be done by one person..... I mean, Thomas. Pfft lol

Already a little more seriously, regarding Bandcamp, I think it would be helpful if it was currently online to attract new and old listeners and working as a beacon for future DAR's releases. Smile

Hah! That's a good one.

There has to be a structure to let it emerge with minimum hierarchy. Otherwise it's no use.

Mate, we started talking about collab 5 years ago, I don't think anything came of it. I sent you some files, I think... or not. In any case, let's make something - if it will go into this compilation or not, doesn't matter that much. Will release through my label, if it doesn't fit or falls through. You still have same email?

Yes, collaboration isn't easy for notorious isolationists like us, I think... Smile

But I feel, there has to be some idea for such kind of release. Something that connects all participans somehow. At least we should agree by which criteria or process a track would fit or fall through.

The usual model "one man who decides everything and runs the show" is true for the radio stream here -- but should it also be the same with a comp release, I wonder...

Email is still info-?t-darkambientradio.de.

What about activating hard-mode and put a submissions deadline ?
so we force our laz... I mean inspired Grin asses to complete a track and sent it.
Lets say end of november. Almost 2 months to finnish and submit.
I known, I known , its just an idea to start moving the whole thing.

What do you think "notorious isolationists" fellas ? Pfft

With hard-mode you mean no more discussions about the process. Just the deadline, submitting a track (fire&forget) and me as benevolent dictator selecting the tracks and handling all the other things? Same as I run the radio? Same as all the DA labels work?

I'm reluctant. But if there should be no more serious signs of emerging self-organization, sure, this could be a way to make it happen.

I just suggested a way to have track selection ready, because I believe that having the muzak could make the rest of things naturally going faster. I could be wrong but maybe it works.
Of course the process for other things remains open to ideas and suggestions. Wink

By the way, what about format, we all agree will be Bandcamp's based?

Welll... all this is so lang ago... Did I alreday submit some work? Or did I only plan to do so and then forgot it....?

And if I did - what did I submit? (seems I am getting old...)

Hmmm... very old stuff - don't know, whether I still like it. Think of submitting a new track...

@Goten Fixed this side effect of the new php version. Note: In Firefox (or IceCat) any stream link with a semicolon at the end will play directly in the browser, here http://s3.viastrea

The webspace transfer included some kind of archaeological reconstruction. Bear with me.

Going to move the webspace. If something behaves weird the next days, you know why.
