I intend to get headphones for my listening pleasure. Something between 150 and 200 €. I already try to listen to some but it´s not easy to find what you are sreaching for. Or there is no chance to test them proplery in a big hifi store like Saturn. So, has anyone experience with for instance Sennheiser HD 598 or a Beyerdynamic or or or? The HD 598 is very clear and quite neutral. SInce it´s open it naturally doesn´t emphasize bass. Which is fine in general..but maybe not truely the right thing for this kind of music. ANy thoughts? Thanks!

I´m not such a huge fan of Sennheiser cans as they tend to be rather bass-heavy and uncomfortable on the ears for extended listening sessions. I´ve always been a fan of MB Quart Quartphones (esp. 90 and 95) but these were discontinued a few years ago when MB went into liquidation. Now they are back again under the German Maestro moniker -- definitely worth checking out.
AKG K701 is rumoured to be quite good as well but I can´t tell from first-hand experience.
Best way of testing would be bringing your personal favourite CDs and listening to them for a while.

DarkAmbient 24 Sep : 11:56 For the time being, I carry on with a virtualBoxed Windwos and SamBroadcaster but I wrote a note about your recommendations for the time I finally switch to GNU/Linux.
DarkAmbient 24 Sep : 11:51 @Bebop420 Thanks! IDJC seems interesting. I hope that I have solved the problem though. The USB stick with the media files seems to have a defect. Hope, the external hd does a better job now.
Bebop420 24 Sep : 02:36 Sorry about the multiple messages i don't lnow why that happened. Libretime and AzuraCast were also recommended to me.
Bebop420 24 Sep : 02:34 have you found a broadcasting software in linux that you can use? Never trust wine its too subject to glitch and whimsy. I would recommend Internet DJ Console and Rivendell but RadioTools Airpro intr
