Not easy to find full albums with an rich sound environment like this but maybe you want to have a closer look on the album 'Songs Over Ruins from Desiderii Marginis.
Furthermore you can check out the earlier works of the act Wardruna, which is no Dark Ambient but more like Neofolk with a strong prevailing nordic theme (also used on the TV servies Vikings, I would also recommend this for wating ).
You should check out the Soundtrack from the Game S.T.A.L.K.E.R., mainly produced by MooZe - a shortened version can be downloaded (legal) here: http://www.stalker-game.com/en/?page=soundtrack
There is also an extended version around by the artist himself, should be easy to find using google.
If you like the sound you should also give these diamonds of PC games also a look as this soundtrack matches very well with the atmosphere and setting of the games (part 1 + 3, the second part can be skipped as it kinda sucks ).
