Just bought this and I must say, I am very very disappointed by this release.
1) it doesn't sound as good old Lustmord,
2) it's too minimalistic for my taste, sounds like something that could be done in in matter of hours
3) songs go on and on, but nothing happens
4) it's good that he tried something new, it was either hit or miss, but, it's a miss in my opinion
5) vocals are nicely recorded, although I don't believe Brian himself have recorded them, but overall idea with this vocals over a simplistic pads sounds a bit amateurish and wannabe Hollywood soundtrack for a transition scene in a big movies
Comparing his previous albums and this one...there is no point in doing so. I hope he'll get back on track and produce something good as before.

It's just my opinion after 1st listen. Than I gave it chance, listened to it 6 times more and still not impressed or touched in any way. |
